Tuesday Talks: Book Shops or Online Shopping?

tuesdaytalksTuesday Talks is where we discuss certain topics covering books, authors, libraries, bookstores and so much more.

Today’s topic: Book Shops or Online Shopping? Which ones and why?

This week is a very hard topic! I can’t choose just one. But, having to choose I would pick online shopping. I mainly shop for my books online because it’s easier and more convenient for me. I don’t drive, so I can’t always get to a bookstore when I want to. Therefore, I resort to buying online. Not only is it faster, but  the books are cheaper.  I can get great bargain deals online whereas at a book store/shop I would get a $15 book which is considered a “bargain”. Sometimes, I have issues with shipping because it can be really expensive depending on where you’re shopping. Also, I can get addicted very quickly and have to talk myself out of buying.  I do prefer online shopping, but I do like going to browse the bookstore and hold the books & their smell in my hands.

Do you prefer online shopping or going to the bookstore? Let me know! 🙂

  1. I like both. I live 30 minutes from a bookstore and I don’t drive either so I don’t go there often. If I know B&N has a book I want, I’ll go there. I like to browse and feel the books. Most of the time I will buy books online because they are cheaper 🙂
