It’s Valentine’s Week, which is one of my favorite weeks because we get to honor our favorite book couples and fictional boyfriends as well as Contemporary authors/books. Today, I’m doing a tag that was created on BookTube, the Book Courtship Tag. I’ve always wanted to do this and I thought it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!
This tag consists of the eight phases of a Courtship with your books.
Initial Attraction – A book that you bought because of the cover?
This cover is stunning! and the illustrations are too. This question made me realize how many books I buy based on the author :O
First impressions: A book that you got because of the summary.
I was immediately hooked when I read this summary in the aisle at B&N.
Here’s the Goodreads summary:
The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common—they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out.
Sweet Talk – A book with great writing?
This is written excellently. The writing is really what kept me going in this book!
