#Diverseathon TBR January 2017

This readathon is going from January 22nd to January 29th and the hosts are promoting diverse books and will be holding Twitter chats about diversity. I did join in last year for DiverseAthon and it was fun. I’m glad it’s back again.

Here’s my TBR…

The Art of Being Normal by Lisa Williamson – This book features a transgender main character and a romance. I was recommended this after reading If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo.

None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio – This book is one I’m excited to read since it’s about an intersex main character. After reading Symptoms of Being Human, I want to read more books from the LGBTQIA+ community.

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera –  I’m sure you know about this book and I don’t need to explain. But, it is #ownvoices and about a LGBTQIA+ main character living in the Bronx, NY.

We are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson  – This is a read for the YA Booktube Awards because it was nominated in my genre, LGBTQIA+ that I’m judging. I have this on audio but I also have the physical copy from the library. I will definitely be reading this during Diverseathon. Our liveshow is on January 28th at 6pm EST on TheOwlery and it’s going to be spoiler free.  This book is own voices.

Let me know if you will be joining DiverseAthon and what you’ll be reading!
